This great looking redwood rolling chair is made from recycled curbside throw-aways, cut-offs from bigger projects and old reclaimed wooden swingset parts. Despite its odd appearance, this large comfortable redwood chair is a uniquev all weather additon to any outdoor furniture collection. This is a design from Jack's personal line and now you can own one of these very comfortable handmade redwood chairs.
Reclaimed Wood Outdoor Rolling Office Chair
After years of being stuck in a climate controlled enviroment, we take these former boring office chairs and give them a new and exciting life outside. Once we source the rolling base, we process and mill all of the wooden parts for the seat, back, and armrest from old swingsets that have exceeded their life expectancy. Every piece is hand shaped, routed, and sanded for comfort prior to assembly. Then we treat the wood with an oil-based sealant and preservative. All components are joined with heavy-duty screws and through bolt construction. The seat and back are 25-1/2" wide, the seat is 19" deep, and the back is 28" high with a shaped lumbar support built-in. Due to the cool design of the standard office chair roller base, most of these chairs have adjustable sitting heights as well as the abilty to rotate in place or recline.
We find broken and battered office chairs on the curbside or anywhere we can find them, bring them back to the wood shop and strip them down to the wheels and try to find other purposes for the cushions and extra parts. Once we have the rolling base, it's time to turn to the woodpile and sort through the materials to find just the right pieces to make this high quality chair.
