The Apollo DIY playset plan is durable, versatile and provides great options for add-ons that appeal to older climbers so it can grow with your family. Wood roof plans are not included at this time.

The Apollo Wood Fort Design Features:
  • 5' deck height with the ability to add more climbing features in the future
  • 5' x 6' platform deck gives your kids 30 sq ft of elbow room
  • Over 5' headroom from deck to peak of canopy
  • Top rail is 8' high. Peak of canopy is 10' 6" high. Conforms to most deed restrictions
  • Designed for an 10' slide. Ladder instructions are included
  • Optional swingset add-on mounts at 7' for lots of swing action in a smaller area
  • Solid all wood A-frame design with 4" x 6" swing beam

This table was prepared in October 2020 and is compiled to help you estimate the cost of this do-it-yourself playset. We used #2 treated pine as our baseline to establish an approximate cost. Natural woods such as redwood or cedar are going to be much more expensive. We do not sell any lumber and cannot guarantee the cost in your area. Wood prices will vary based on supply and location.

Important!

Placement of equipment must be on level ground, not less than 6’ from any structure or obstruction such as a fence, garage, house, trees or overhanging branches, electrical wires or clotheslines. Swinging equipment is required to be a minimum distance of twice the height of the swing beam from any of these structures or obstructions as well. Please refer to fort instructions for minimum use areas and adjust for attachment of swings.

Need a canopy top for your do-it-yourself Apollo Fort? Our canopy tops are a heavy-duty 15 oz marine grade poly-vinyl that's made to last. Our tops feature a nylon weave with a poly-vinyl coating. This makes it nearly impossible to tear. Even if the kids managed to poke a hole in the top it won't travel. Stainless steel snaps are placed along the short side of each top. Counterbore Hole 
for A-frame Blocks

​Our DIY heavy duty A-frame swing set assembly requires drilling a straight 1/2" hole through a 4 x 4 and then drilling a 1-1/2 counterbore over the 1/2" hole. In this video we show you how drill a straight hole without the use of a drill press and then how to drill the counterbore with the use of a hole template.
